    Deliberate thought

    I’ve graduated school and have lots of new ideas at hand in terms of what I can do with Leather Crafting as a whole. Lately its been hard to comprehend all the changes that have been going on with life, and I felt its time to address some things with our business and also with what I plan to do with life

    Firstly, I have been working on a new website, still in development. I mainly dislike the fact that our current website is sold as a “manufacturer” style. I make handcrafted leather products which doesn’t really relate to the whole fast fashion / immediacy that you often find with large scale business. I always wanted Ariadne Leather to be a gateway for selling personal trinkets and items that were made with time and love. Things that are individual and impossible to replicate (1 to 1 uniqueness). There never was a quick buy with my items, as I don’t have the time or desire to make my items seem reproducible in a large scale way. SO with that, I think it’s best to scale the website down to a more hobbyist perspective. Things that can be custom commissioned and given as a labor of love, rather than as an immediate “product” which my current website seems to give the impression about

    Secondly, I want to showcase more about myself. I find that I’m lacking the trust and respect that customers want when they see what I do. Often, I work on my own and give my items a touch of uniqueness that can never be replicated which also includes mistakes and imperfections. These of which can be cherished with no expectation of factorized, fast fashion. Therefor, for my new website I will be sure to have an about me page and also more details on how i got started, along with the projects I made as a kid. The design of the website will be more oriented towards the handcrafted nature of what I sell, and how you might appreciate it over easily replicable items.

    Life has been STRANGE to say the least. I hope that I can reach out and satisfy more people who support personal and handmade items, as my goal is to show what is possible with our hands. I want to give serious support to my family, school and Moon for all the brilliant love and support that gets me through all the weird changes, soon, one of these days I hope for everyone to cherish the love that leather crafting shares to me, and for that same love be felt with every use

    Busy

    Yeah I’ve been incredibly busy with school. Commuting nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes there, and another 1 hour and 30 minutes back really takes time away from working on custom orders and new ideas and variations of ideas. On the upside, i’ll have winter break this December and i’ll be done with school in no time

  • Machine Update

    Machine is Fixed ! !

    I messed with the “timing” of the machine too much, I ended up breaking it, so the machine was out of service for the past month or two ( Ive been busy ! >:3 )

    A friend Tom came in to service the machine, he fixed the timing and calibrated other mechanisms. Since I ordered lots of new thread and leather, I fully expect to make handbags and other beautiful projects

    Cant wait to finally use it ! ! !

    This has been a pretty good October.

    NGL, I’ve been doing incredibly shit at school since I’ve just been focusing on fulfilling orders and whatnot. A lot of my classmates have been doing the (home)work for me and I feel kind of bad, but at the end of the day I would rather Leathercraft

    That’s not to say I hate school or anything. I love what i’m learning, but transiting 1 Hour + 30 Minutes one way does take away a lot of time from coming up with new handcrafted items and more.

    On the plus side, I essentially have one more year left of school. Very exciting thought. My goal is to balance it out enough to fulfill orders while I avoid failing outright.

    P.S We are out of stock on lighter sheaths and on the Tool Pouch. Will be back next month!

    Materials and Tools

    I got my hands on a lot more materials. I have much more Leather and Tools to work with.

    Our newest product, the Maremma Italian Wallets have such a pleasant smell and patina with age. I am so very pleased to release it in our product line.

    I also got my hands on a PFAFF 545 U-3 Sewing machine from a very great craftsman. I cant wait to master this special beast of a machine ..

    Life

    I’ve been working Electrical for the past 3 months. I will have more time to dedicate once I get back to school this upcoming September. Also, I am turning 19 very soon in 2025. I can’t wait to see what life has to offer along with this business.

    I’m very lucky and grateful for everybody who brought me to where I am today. I love my friends, and especially my family for their continuous love and support. Thank you to the reader (you), for taking time to encourage small business owners like me to bring my work to life.
